March05 :: Student 2 Student

Ryan | 2.25.05

69…and God added daily to their number those being saved…

What would happen if students joined together in concerted prayer and unified witness, trusting God for the privilege of leading at least one other person to Christ this school term? This is the vision of Student2Student.

Student2Student is a new evangelistic initiative developed by Campus Crusade that got jump started this semester on January, 1 2005. The Student2Student initiative is based on prayer, that God will work in the lives of students. Students all over the country are taking the initiative and committing to praying and stepping out in faith to trust God for the privilege of leading at least one other person to Christ this semester. This is not just taking place on one campus. Students are getting involved all over the country and I believe that this initiative will stretch all over the globe one day.

Student2Student is being ignited through a website. If you log on to Student2Student you will see what I mean. On the site students can be inspired through live audio talks on the importance of evangelism and reaching out to those that do not know Jesus. Students can view live video where they can be trained on how to share their faith through any method, in any circumstance. Also on the website are the tools that students can get to share Christ with anyone. What about a plan? When a student is wondering…”How do I do this?” the website is a great reference for that too. Beginning with prayer and relying on God, Student2Student is accomplished.

That is not the greatest thing about Student2Student. One of the coolest things is the community that has grown and flourished through this initiative. As students see God work in their lives they can share that with others on the website and read what God is doing across the nation. Student2Student is not just a website…it is an email community. By joining the email list anyone can see how Student2Student is being carried out as well as what God is doing through students.

Remember that number 69 I mentioned before…That is how many brothers and sisters have been added to the kingdom this semester (in 2 months) through Student2Student. That number continues to increase every day. Praise God!

In a world filled with every kind of technology to accomplish anything and gratify every pleasure, God is using it to connect His people and to accomplish His work and His plan.

This is all to say that Student2Student is really a community, connected together through technology, that is being used for the Glory of God. As students are inspired, trained, and given the tools to share Christ with everyone they encounter, we will reach the college campus and the world for Christ.

Why do I share this with you in our letter. Because this is the very thing that I am passionate about. Although I was not on the team that developed Student2Student, I hope to be on the next team to develop the tools our students and staff will use on campus and around the world to reach people for Christ and accomplish His work.

Thank you so much for your support and partnership with our ministry. We pray that you feel as much a part of the ministry of Campus Crusade for Christ as we do. If you want to check out more about Student2Student go to the website. You can also join the email list and get a first hand look at what students across the country are accomplishing through God at work.

In HIM,

Please Pray

> That Student2Student will continue to be effective and God would continue to work through students.

> That we would continue to strive towards the goal of our support with an urgency and need to arrive in Indianapolis.

> That God would continue to lead us to the people He wants to complete our support.

Butler University:: ministry highlight

Ryan | 2.3.05

Our newsletter this month highlights the ministry at Butler University. Butler is one of the campuses that the Catalytic team with Campus Crusade for Christ in Indiana is working with. Rachel and I are excited about being a part of this campus as well as others with the Catalytic team in Indianapolis. February05 :: ministry spotlight . Butler University

Ryan | 2.1.05

As you can probably guess, meeting our staff teams and getting to know some students from the Indiana schools has gotten us very excited about our future ministry there. We have only been given a small taste of what is to come, but we are hungry for more.

Butler University is one of the larger ministries that the Indiana Catalytic team is working with. The movement at Butler has a little over 200 students involved and it is evident this semester that God is working in each one of their hearts to bring him glory, which happens to be the theme and new found fire on the campus of Butler to… “bring the Glory back to God.”

God is breaking down many of the barriers this ministry has had on campus from being a group focused on inward fellowship to a… “revolutionary movement focused on winning students to Christ, building them up in their faith, and sending them out to do the same.” - Eric, a Butler student

The Leadership team has just been restructured into three teams…Win, Build and Send.

“With the larger teams we are able to be much more active…We are
back to one weekly meeting which has given us a sense of unity once more,
and has really helped keep students fired up.
Also with that meeting and the new leadership team our talks this year are focused
into 3 series of 4 talks dealing with winning people for Christ, building them up in Christ,
and sending them out as servants of Christ.” - Sathish, a Butler Student

Ross Hall - on the campus of Butler

Another amazing thing that is happening as you are reading this letter is a men’s ministry that is being born on campus. It is called Doxaza Theos, meaning, Glory to God in Greek, bringing Glory to the Lord with anything and everything that we do.

“One of our goals is to give every guy in Ross Hall (a mostly freshman dormitory) a chance to hear
the Gospel. We have also been meeting to help build each other up, and encourage each other
through biblical truth, together as men of faith. It has been amazing. We just had a Discipleship
night this past Friday where the Lord brought a few relationships together, and we are trusting in
Him to start up more according to His timing.”
- Sathish

This is just one campus were you are involved through our ministry, partnering with us to accomplish God’s will and bring Him glory in everything that we do.

In HIM,

Please Pray

> For the students in the ministry at Butler, that they will have courage and fire to become a revolutionary group on campus.

> For Doxaza Theos, the new mens ministry on campus, that it would continue to grow and flourish according to Gods will.

> That the men in Ross Hall would be open to the gift that Christ has given us all, the gift of eternal life with Him.
