Over the HUMP!

We would like to share with you an exciting moment in our lives. We have officially passed the halfway point in our support raising efforts! We have waited on God to bring us here and now, with less than 50% to go, we are renewed and motivated to perservere as we watch God complete our support.

Many of you have shared in our struggles and our triumphs as we have been on this rollercoaster of a journey. Your prayers have encouraged us and have kept us strong. Your willingness to support us and to share our ministry with your friends has blessed us in innumerable ways.

While we are at this point, we think of students right now, on campus, getting ready for the end of the semester. Assignments are building up, professors are cramming in as much as they can, and finals are really not that far away. For them, it is time to wrap things up, to finish their work and prepare to start a new semester.

[ students getting their "Boxes of Love" ]

One exciting thing about this time of year is the Christmas Conference. Every year, students from every region gather for 5 days during the time between Christmas and New Years. Last year, we saw over 2500 students from the Great Lakes Region worship together during this time. Worship is a big part of this gathering, but it also includes speakers, campus times, and an opportunity to serve the community.

A big part of Christmas Conference is evangelism training. As always, we are teaching students to share their faith. At Christmas Conference, students bring “Boxes of Love” to various areas in Indianapolis, where the conference is held. These boxes are filled with food, toys, and Bibles. Students are able to share their faith with those who receive these boxes. Local churches then follow up with those who indicate interest. This is such a neat time that students, churches, and community members all look forward to.

While we are looking forward to Christmas Conference and celebrating our 50% mark, we also would like to take this time to be vulnerable with you. We are facing difficulty at this time of our support raising. We are running out of people to talk to and share our ministry with, and at times, have struggled with discouragement. We know that you pray for us and care for us, so we feel it is important that you know.

At this time, we ask that you would spend some extra time praying for us this month. Please pray that we will be blessed with more people to talk to and that God will provide open doors for us to meet individuals and churches that are excited about campus ministry and reaching the lost. Pray for our hearts as we strive to finish strongly. Like Paul, we want to be able to say, “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.” (2 Timothy 4:7).

In HIM,

Please Pray

> That Rachel and I would persevere and strive to complete our support.

> For the preparations of Christmas Conference.

> That God would continue to bring in our support.

> That we would continue to meet people who are excited to partner with us.
