This Christmas Conference was the first one where I actually had students to spend time with. Now that I had relationships with the students on my campuses, Christmas Conference was a great time to grow closer to them, as well as have fun. I had students from IUPUI, Indiana State, and Ivy Tech there.

Ivy Tech made its first appearance at the conference this year! Being a new ministry, I was excited to see 3 students come. It was a great opportunity to show them the vision of the ministry, as well as receive further training on how to continue the ministry on their campus.

On the Day of Outreach, I went out with two students that I had never met before. I went with Matt from Wabash and Suzanne from IPFW. It was fun to get to know them and we were able to share the Gospel with 6 people, 2 of which indicated decisions to receive Christ. We passed their contact information on to the church so that they can follow up with them. We also met a Hispanic family who was looking for a local Spanish-speaking church in the area. The church in that area will be able to help them in that way.

All semester long, amid other projects, my team and I have been working and planning on this regional wide conference. This year, 2,000 students came to worship, learn, and have fun.

My job this year was the Video Director. As a student, I saw the staff behind the scenes, working on the videos and other media to serve the students at the conference. Finally, I was able to serve in that way, as well.

I absolutely loved being the Video Director. I worked with 10 students, helping to edit and create all the videos for the main meeting and for future conference promotional videos. I also delegated responsibility for the camera team. The videos we created helped to carry the theme, “Is it worth it?” throughout the entire conference. Knowing how this conference affected me as a student, I was excited to be a part of what the Lord was doing through the students’ lives.

On the last day, we had seminars for students who were interested in investigating opportunities to serve with Campus Crusade. I was asked to give my story of how I was called onto staff so I could use my gifts to help further the ministry. I pray that the Lord would use that to call other students to use their gifts to reach others with the Gospel.

2006 was an amazing year for both of us, as we struggled through the support- raising process, and then watching as the Lord miraculously provided for us. The last 5 months have been busy and hard, but we have had the best time of our lives beginning our ministry in Indianapolis. We appreciate all your support and prayers and we know we wouldn’t be here without you.

Please Pray

> The Details for our trip to New Zealand would come together.

> Praise for 1800 decisions for Christ this last semester on the campuses in our region.

> For Rachel as she becomes the head coach at IVY Tech and ISU this semester.
