As we approach the end of another year, we are reminded of all that has happened over the past several years. After completing our support in August of 2006, we moved from Chicago to Indianapolis, to dive into full-time ministry. We bought our first house and turned it into a home. During Spring Break 2007, we traveled halfway around the world to New Zealand, to give a boost to the brand-new ministry there. Ryan and his team created a new ministry tool, Crugle, and is currently working with the national team to expand it to encompass the ministries across the country. Rachel launched new ministries at Ivy Tech and IUPUI, the state’s 3rd largest school. And on March 22nd of this year, our first child was born. It has been an exciting adventure, and it is fun to look back and see where the Lord has taken us. Of course, our son Braden, now 8 months and crawling, is keeping us on our toes!

Even though our support has not been 100% for some months now, that does not mean that we have not been taken care of by the Lord and the ability to continue in ministry has been such a blessing. In recent months we have seen some new friends join our support team. We have seen are support raise to it’s original goal when we started as a couple 3 years ago.
Unfortunately, this does not take into account our increased health care and our hope to increase our living needs. If you noted from our last prayer letter, we are currently at 85% of our new goal. Over the past year we have seen this deficet met by one time special needs from many of you and we graciously thank you.
We trust that threw you and others, the Lord will provide the last $1,100 of monthly support we are hoping for to continue to keep our family in ministry until the Lord determines otherwise.
With Much Love,
the Relevant Family
Rachel and I are getting used to being parents and adjusting to ministry with a larger family. After our summer on crossroads which was very encouraging and seeing some support come in, we are starting the fall semester still needing $1300 in monthly support.
With our first child coming soon within a matter of days…Our support needs have changed. Our health care will be going up as well as hoping to increase the income that we have for the baby and make up some support lost - Our current need is for $1300 of monthly support.
As we are preparing for this year of our story and ministry, we have come across some financial needs that need to be met in order for us to continue ministry the 2007-2008 school year.
Our one time needs:
Summer project, staff conference,
New Zealand, medical bills and
this years conferences.
Total: $7500
Additional monthly support needed: $600/month
After our first year on staff, we can not be more blessed. We are so thankful to the Lord and our supporters to be able to do what we have been doing. If you are unaware of what we have been doing, you can catch up by reading “the relevant report.”
Our support has come down a little with all the exciting things that we have been able to do this year. Rachel and I sat down and evaluated our current support goal and realized that we have a need to raise an additional $500 of monthly support.
If you or someone you know might be interested in our ministry or would want to increase what you are already doing, please let us know. Your partnership goes along way through our ministry and want you to know that you are very much a part of what we are doing.
If you have been reading our website you know that the Lord has blessed us so much and He has provided our support. We are officially at 99% of our monthly needs. We are still waiting for a few pledges to come in but we are very excited about starting our ministry this fall.
Well, it is June 12th and many of you are wondering what happened to us. Our original deadline to have our support complete was today June 12th. We are not quite done but, the Lord still has called us to this ministry. June 12th just was not the day.
We talked with our support coach about where we are at with our support. We currently have 81% of our monthly support accounted for and coming in from faithful supporters – Thank you! With our outstanding gifts, this number is closer to 90% (if you have not sent in your first gift yet - please do so or if you have questions, don’t hesitate to give us a call). We still have about $900 left to raise.
Since we are much closer than we were back in January (at 50%), our support coach was comfortable with us finishing our support over the summer. Our new date is around the first week in August. This is about the time that we need to report to our teams along with the rest of staff from the summer. We look forward to seeing the Lord work and complete our support in the next few weeks and move down to Indiana this summer.
If you would be interested in helping us reach our goal and partner with us in ministry, please let us know.
We are currently living near Chicago, Illinois (which is where we are from) raising our initial support so that we can start our ministry. We have been praying and waiting on the Lord to complete this first step of our ministry.
We currently have about 75% of our monthly support but, we can not leave for Indianapolis until we reach 100%. That is about $1700 of monthly support left to raise. We are trying to meet this goal by June 12th 2006 so that we can have a summer assignment before we head to Indianapolis.
Most of our partners were strangers before we first met. The primary way we have raised our support is through individuals introducing us to their friends. If you could help us out with this please partner with us.
