Questions

What is RelevantMedia?
Relevant Media was created as our ministry website. Ryan has future visions of what Relevant Media might become but, for now relevantmedia.org is a place of interaction with our current and future partners in ministry. We exist to present Christ’s message to college students through relevant communications. Wheather through personal contact or interactive technology, We strive to meet students where they are at and present Christ’s message in a cultural, spiritual, and personal way.
What is Campus Crusade for Christ International?
Campus Crusade is an interdenominational, international ministry founded in 1951 by the late Bill Bright and his wife Vonette. It began as a ministry to college students but has grown into over 60 ministries reaching out to every segment of society. For more information and updated statistics, please visit the main Campus Crusade website www.ccci.org.
So is Campus Crusade a Church?
No, Campus Crusade is not a church. We are a para-church organization. This means that we exist to help the church accomplish the Great Commission. We do not facilitate in religious ceremonies such as baptisms, weddings, funerals, and communion as that is the role of the church. We are each members of a local church.
What do you do and why?
We go into detail on our site about what we do in the ministry section. But as to why? Well, to better answer this question, you should probably read About Us. If you’d like to receive our monthly updates about what we’re doing, you can sign up right now for our eNewsletter or email us and we will add you to our list to get our updates via snail mail.
What are ways I can be involved?
The best way to be involved is by partnering with us. There are several ways you can do this. Please let us know if you would like to . There are also many changing opportunities for you to be involved in online ministry.
How do you get paid?
Just like many other mission organizations, Campus Crusade depends on the consistent financial support of concerned individuals, companies, and churches. Campus Crusade has no central funds for paying salaries and ministry expenses. These contributions are used to fund our ministry completely. We have a team of partners who contribute to our ministry regularly so we can continue in our full time ministry.
If you would like to donate to us and partner with us in ministry, you can do so here.
Is there a maximum you can raise?
Yes. The maximum we can raise is based on our family status, geographic adjustment, and tenure. There is a fixed amount based on these factors that we can not go over in our salary. If you need more concrete numbers, don’t hesitate to ask.
Where do you live now?
Currently we live in Arlington Heights, a suburb of Chicago, while we raise our initial support. Once our support team is complete we will be headed to Indianapolis Indiana.
When is your birthday and anniversary?
Ryan’s birthday is June 25.
Rachel’s birthday is Aug. 17.
Our anniversary is May 31, 2003
What happens if you don’t have enough support?
Our paychecks get smaller. We do have a buffer set to help prevent this situation. However if that buffer is used up or if many people don’t contribute one month, then the first thing to decrease is our paycheck. Our benefits are last to be reduced so we will always have our health and life insurance through Campus Crusade. To see what our current situation is, visit our needs page.
How can I help?
You can help us in a number of ways. Our biggest need is always for consistent prayer and consistent monthly support. If you would like to find out more, we can get you involved with our ministry in a number of vital ways.
I didn’t receive an envelope from Campus Crusade for my next check. What should I do?
First of all, do not panic. Since consistent support is a very high value for us, this is a key question. There are several things you can do but the easiest thing to do is to write your next check payable to “Campus Crusade for Christ” and mail it to us. We’ll send it for you. Also, please e-mail us so we know what happened. You could also use a form to mail your next donation.
Another option is to make your next contribution online. After you do so you should get another receipt in the mail within a few weeks.
One way to prevent this problem is to set up an automatic electronic transfer. You can set this up online also or use the “Donate by EFT” form.
I think I have another questions, so how can I ask?
If you contact us we will be more than happy to answer your question to the best of our ability. You can also leave a comment or question at the bottom of this page.
